Toward the end of 1976, A special 3 part episode of "The Bionic Woman" aired on America's ABC TV Network. Unusual because rarely has an ongoing TV series of any kind made a 3 part episode. The episodes introduced viewers to "Fembots", a kind of robotic version of the Bionic Superheroes. It also featured the "Six Million Dollar Man", Steve Austin who came along for the ride. In it's original Network run in both the USA and Australia.. parts 1 and 3 aired on "The Bionic Woman".. Part 2 aired as an episode of "The Six Million Dollar Man". I imagine it was later bundled in syndication and on DVD as all "Bionic Woman" episodes for easy continuity. The 3 Parter was titled "Kill Oscar" and also starred Screen legend John Houseman who interestingly enough had starred with "Bionic Woman" Lindsay Wagner in the 1973 Movie "The Paper Chase". This episode also marked a deviation for the Producers and Viewers with a different cut of the Opening theme to the Bionic Woman. The Visuals were the same but the music was different. It was only to appear for this 1st of the 3 part episode. Part 2 of "Kill Oscar" returned to the familiar Opener which remained with little deviation until the conclusion of the series in 1978.
